| This is one of my very newest works...a life sized alligator head. I was asked by someone to make a master for them to mold for a project he was doing. But my oven bake clay was too expensive and hard to use since I had to bake it. So I looked around and spoke to a friend of mine who does dragon heads, and she suggested a type of air dry clay. This was A LOT different than what I was used to! You had to keep your hands moist and it was VERY messy! But I really enjoyed making it and I think it turned out really well! It is very durable and I have a LOT of ideas for this clay come the first of the year! So be looking, because I am going to have some garden type things up and larger sculpts to buy...so I am REALLY looking forward to this! 2009 is going to be FUN! |
| For Christmas I was commissioned to do a painting for an employee of my husband. It was a gift for his wife for Christmas. They had three adorable Dachshunds and I took on the challenge with a little hesitance, since I have not painted something like this in quite some time. But the finished product turned out rather well! He and I were both very pleased. I had forgotten how much fun I had in my painting...may have to do more of that also in 2009! |
